Description:  The fellowship is a one-year program in otology and neurotology (non-accredited), originally established in 2012. One clinical fellow is sponsored each year (August 1 to July 31). The clinical experience encompasses hearing, balance, facial nerve, and skull base disorders. Surgical cases involve chronic ear disease, otosclerosis, cochlear implants, osseointegrated implants, and skull base surgeries. The primary institution is Puget Sound Ear Nose & Throat (a division of Proliance Surgeons), with clinic and surgery centers located in Edmonds and Puyallup. The fellow participates in neurotology clinic and outpatient surgeries at these locations. The fellow additionally participates in skull base surgeries at Swedish Cherry Hill and organizes bimonthly otology/skull base conferences, with access to a large temporal bone lab at the Seattle Science Foundation. Research opportunities are readily available and supported. There are no residents or medical students.
