Dr. Michael Paparella, founder of the Paparella Ear, Head and Neck Institute, took his B.S. and M.D. at the University of Michigan. After serving in Europe, he became a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School, then at Ohio State University. From 1967 to 1984, he chaired the University of Minnesota’s Department of Otolaryngology, leaving to found this clinic. He has actively practiced otology (care of ears) and otolaryngology (ears, head and neck) for 40-plus years and remains active in research and education. He has authored/edited over 600 scientific publications and 63 books, including many on the topics of Meniere’s disease and chronic ear infection. He has also trained 300 ENT doctors including 28 Professors and Chairmen.
